Surrey Adult Education Courses

Due to unforeseen circumstances there will not be a Tuesday course during the Autumn term. The Thursday course is still available.

Photography courses are run in conjunction with the Surrey Adult & Community Learning service. These courses provide an inexpensive option in pleasant and friendly surroundings. Many students have found the course content very useful, one went on to win a Rose Bowl in the local council Spelthorne in Bloom competition.

Topics covered include:

• How the SLR Camera works.
• Metering and Exposure.
• Composition.
• Depth of Field.
• Close up Photography.
• Landscapes.

Courses are held in Sunbury on Thames, on (Tuesday course not available Autumn) Thursday evenings, for 8 weekly sessions (9 weeks including half term), 7.30 p.m. for 2 hours.

The course runs from Thursday 2nd October for 8 weeks, final week 27th November, half term break 30th October.

The next courses will be in the Autumn term, enrolment now until September.


Due to popular demand there is now a further course on Thursday evenings. One student has mentioned that getting on one of the courses is harder than getting into Fort Knox, so it is wise to book as early as possible.
